Seisnetics Processing Service

 

The goal of Seisnetics Processing is to deliver a rapid pre-interpretation of a seismic volume to our clients which fully describes the geology in terms of geological events; i.e.  horizons, faults, unconformities, etc.  Our basic processing workflow entails the following steps:

 

1) Receipt by Seisnetics of the processed seismic data in SEGY format.

2) Loading and processing of the seismic data at Seisnetics facilities.  QC by Seisnetics.

3) Presentation at Client site of results using Seisnetics 3D Viewer and selection of elements to be exported.

4) Delivery of results to Client in ASCII format, ready for import into Clients workstation of choice.

 

From a macro perspective, the Seisnetics processing workflow may be described as:

 

    Process/obtain seismic data -> Run Seisnetics Process -> Interpret Seismic in normal Workstation.

The inclusion of Seisnetics in the workflow is fast and easy. The benefits of adding Seisnetics is substantial and include:

Seisnetics is based on a set of genetic algorithms that performs dense “picking” on an entire seismic volume at once. Seisnetics automatically extracts ALL geological and reservoir features out of seismic volumes. This processing is done with no human intervention, bias or parameter setting. Seisnetics is robust because it is based on a global search algorithm that uses all available seismic attribute volumes, which makes it less sensitive to data local heterogeneities. Seisnetics is also geologically more accurate because it ensures the spatial coherence globally. Other volume based interpretation techniques and auto-trackers, under the best circumstances, leave time consuming picking and editing tasks up to the geoscientist. Unlike these existing approaches, Seisnetics does not require any manual picking. It automatically finds all the geological features, enabling the geoscientist to focus on high added-value interpretation tasks rather than cumbersome low value picking.
